iTero™ offers dentists and laboratories an open choice of connection options along the digital workflow.

Choice and flexibility

iTero™ scan files can be imported into several of the leading dental CADCAM systems, including Straumann® CARES®, Dental Wings and other open CADCAM systems. This gives you the flexibility to work with a range of prosthetic design solutions and CADCAM production processes.

Within Straumann® CARES® Digital Solutions, iTero™ is compatible with both the surgical and prosthetic workflow: the data of the digital impression can be processed in the coDiagnostiX™ software for pre-operative planning, or in Straumann® CARES® Visual for the prosthetic design.

Workflow with Straumann® CARES® Visual

1. Digital scan
2. Chairside quality control of the occlusion; data review and transfer to dental laboratory
3. Centrally produced precision model
4. Design of the prosthetic element in Straumann® CARES® Visual
5. Straumann® CARES® CADCAM full countour crown
6. Finalization of the restoration by the dental laboratory
